In this episode, I'm with my good friend Robyn Smith Haynes.

Robyn is a single mom of two beautiful girls who decided about five years ago to walk away from her marriage. She knew how to do taxes. She had been doing it for her friends. A few years ago, she got certified, and then came the pandemic. So with that, it was like word of mouth got around and everybody's like, well, if you can't go to the place where you normally get your taxes done, Robin can do your taxes for you.

She has two Bachelor of Science degrees in Information Technology. She is a network analyst for a county government in the IT department, and her small business is growing!

It has shown me and a lot of my clients, who mostly are small business owners or they have some type of side hustle or gig work that they do, that it is possible to do your taxes properly and pay as less as possible because her philosophy is let's zero out your tax debt and maximize your refund. And as per her, everybody doesn't get a refund. Everybody's situation's different. But to the best of our ability, you gotta make sure that you get what's due.

Curtis’s motto is that what you learn today and how you position yourself will determine your future financial well-being 5, 10, 20 years from today. To learn more about how to manage your wealth in a practical way, visit www.practicalwealthadvisors.com
